I joined RentBook during an active product development phase. The project required more than completing an existing backlog.

I restructured the delivery approach, adjusted the team, reorganized the project, and expanded the product architecture around the actual property ecosystem.

RentBook serves multiple participants including property seekers and tenants, property owners, agents, body corporates, and administrators. The platform combines marketplace functionality with operational property management workflows.

The platform evolved beyond property listings into a broader property ecosystem supporting property discovery, property listings, rental workflows, property sales, property management, agent workflows, property owner workflows, body corporate workflows, verification, AI assisted discovery, and AI generated listing assets.

Property marketplaces have a fundamental trust problem. Users need confidence in who listed the property, whether the property exists, whether claims about it are accurate, and whether the person representing it is legitimate.

RentBook therefore incorporates verification into the product model, spanning identity and actor, property, documentation, physical validation, and listing claims. This creates a stronger trust layer around property discovery and transactions.

The platform includes a structured verification capability designed to distinguish properties and participants that have completed additional validation, including document verification, physical inspection, background checks, listing verification, and administrative review.

The resulting verification state becomes part of the marketplace trust system.

The engagement required both product and technical intervention. Rather than simply managing the inherited execution plan, I reassessed team structure, scope, product architecture, delivery sequence, roles, platform priorities, and technical and product dependencies.

The resulting roadmap aligned delivery around a broader property platform rather than isolated features.

AI was integrated as product functionality rather than as a decorative chatbot, across three major use cases.

Conversational Property Discovery lets users describe the property they want naturally, with the AI experience helping to search, filter, recommend, compare, and explain properties.

Property Intelligence lets users compare potential properties and receive contextual insights rather than manually evaluating every listing.

AI Listing Asset Generation lets agents and property owners upload eligible property images, which the system uses to generate richer property marketing material, including AI generated listing video experiences. This reduces the content production burden associated with marketing a property.
